Toured as soprano soloist with world renowned violinist Andre Rieu, and with two #1 albums in Australia, Mirusia says she is living the life she has always dreamed of. Singing in cities all over the world and surrounded by talented musicians, Mirusia is enjoying every moment.
It comes as no surprise that Mirusia is enjoying her time working with Andre Rieu, in May 2008 they released the CD 'Waltzing Matilda' in Australia which went platinum within 10 days and stayed at the number one position on the Australian Pop Charts for three consecutive weeks. This CD was the first time Rieu had ever collaborated with another artist and was released as a tribute to the many dedicated fans in Australia.
in 2006 Mirusia won the Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Award as the youngest singer ever to win the prestigious award, from there she recorded her first album 'She Walks in Beauty' and grauated with Academic Acheievemtn from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Classical Voice.
2007 saw a very productive year for Mirusia who recorded with the Queensland Pops Orchestra for their 'Songs of Inspiration'album which was released in June. Mirusia features as Soprano Soloist on numerous tracks on the album. Mirusia also did a tour around Australia, New Zealand and Canada with Andrew Mckinnon's 'Scotland the Brave' and toured around The United States, Canada, Japan and Europe with world renowned violinist Andre Rieu.
In 2008, Mirusia played a major role in Andre Rieu's ‘World Stadium Tour’, which even took her back to her home country Australia. ‘The World Stadium Tour’ broke all the records as the largest set, cast and crew to ever tour in the history of the music industry.
2009 was an even bigger year, with Mirusia partaking in the filming of 4 Concert DVD’s and CD’s, and touring in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, the United States of America, Canada, The Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand and France.
Her new album 'Always and Forever' was released in Australia in October and in The Netherlands in December and features Mirusia's favourite songs she has sung with Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. It charted on the Australian Classical Charts for many weeks at #1 and even made the Pop Charts Top 20!
Mirusia is a Brisbane born Soprano and at only 25, has already enjoyed many successes so far in her career.
