Michael or “Flash” as he is known by the tenors for his joy of taking pictures in the early days, joined The Ten Tenors on keyboards and piano in January 2003. Michael has been studying piano and keyboards since he was 8 years old. Michael also sings, dances, plays percussion, guitar, bass and clarinet,
but not usually at the same time.

Michael graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Performance in 2000 where he majored in classical and jazz piano. At the con, Michael was the recipient of the Margarate Nickson Accompanying Prize and was also a member of the Golden Key Academic Honour Society.

Before joining the Ten Tenors, Michael was teaching piano and was a sort after piano/ keyboard player around Queensland, Australia, either as a soloist or in several popular corporate bands. His performances have taken him to Sydney, Cairns, Byron Bay, Heron, Daydream and Dunk Islands. He has vast experience in the Brisbane live music scene, working in many different styles of groups/productions, playing anything from classical to jazz, Latin, RnB, Soul, Funk, Rock, and improvised music. Michael has performed alongside well known artists such as Grace Knight, Paul Grabowsky, The Resin Dogs, Doug Williams and the LR mix.
