Special Wedding Packages

(1) Wedding Ceremony Music Package

String Quartet begins playing 15 minutes before the wedding begins, creating a beautiful atmosphere for your guests as they arrive. Choose gentle classical for graceful elegance or jazz or pop for celebration and excitement – it’s up to you. On cue from the celebrant we’ll have a small dramatic pause, before beginning your chosen music for your big entrance! With our long experience we can time the music perfectly to the bride’s arrival, and if necessary seamlessly fade it out ready for the wedding ceremony to begin. We can also play while you’re signing the register. Then of course, there’s your special recessional music as you walk back down the aisle together!
If there is time left, we continue playing for a little while longer while your guests congratulate you.

Further info on instrumental wedding music:

  • The minimum booking for a civil wedding ceremony is one hour, from the time we start playing.
  • For church / religious wedding ceremonies, if your order of service is between 40-45 minutes long, the minimum booking time will be 75 minutes.
  • If the bride is planning on arriving ‘fashionably late’ (later than 20 minutes from the time we begin), this time will need to be allocated in your booking. You’ll appreciate that we need to stick to our booked times, as quite often we may have another wedding to attend on the same day.

(2) Pre Wedding Reception Entertainment

Our superb background music makes the perfect transition between your wedding ceremony and reception, during drinks and canapés, and while you’re having your photos taken. The Strings wedding musicians are more than happy to walk to another area of your venue and begin playing again straight after the ceremony. The time allotted to this part of the wedding can be discussed when you make your booking.

(3) Wedding Reception Dinner Music

Our superb music makes a wonderful accompaniment to your reception as your guest arrive and during dinner and dessert. Whether you prefer traditional classical, upbeat modern, or a mixture – The String Quartet’s playing will always highlight your chosen theme perfectly.
